Daily Dose “GreenDay – Bang Bang Lyric Video”

Great lyric video produced by BlinkMyBrain

Usually lyric videos are boring and have no artistic standard. This shows with proper version and a nice budget you can build a marketing tool that’s quite entertaining.

Daily Dose “Pause 2017”

I read the blurb from the artist on Art Of the Title website and thought his story was pretty inspiring. This self taught animator from China deciding to take on a career in the motion industry. This sequence is well stage and has a fair bit of vfx work that feels quite real. The cat is a little off though. haha.

“A discussion with title designer XIAOLIN “ZAOEYO” ZENG.

Could you give us a little background on yourself?

I was raised in a small city called Xiangtan in China. After my college entrance exams, I came across After Effects on Video Copilot. I got an average score and failed to be selected as an advertising major. After that, I was told by my parents that I should choose a major that would help me find a job. They thought accounting was the best choice based on how I’d scored on my exams, so I attended an economics and finance school. In the college, I was so angry about the course and the way teachers taught. Also, I ended up skipping a lot of my economics classes to stay in my dormitory learning After Effects. ”

A section of the piece written up by Art Of The Title website. read more

There was also a behind the scene of the project posted as well. I love these things. Artist work in varies ways and see software tools in their own creative terms.

Daily Dose “FUTURE IS NOW”

Aspirational piece of the day for myself right here. The artist Eduard Mykhailov combined some fantastic visual components. Motion design effects like glitch can seem cumbersome at times. Once in a blue an artists find a way to redefine it’s purpose and make it seem really fucking cool. Thanks Mr. Mykhailov

Daily Dose “H-57 For Adidas”

Literally working on a series which focuses on a similar design director. What are the chances I find inspiration on a random day??? Adidas advertising in my opinion has been great the last 10 yrs. They always seem to go on to the edge and push visual interpretations.

Daily Dose “Dear B.I.G.”

Created by Blink. One of my favorite artist of the 90’s who’s life was cut short by violence.

His Legacy is firmly planted in the culture of HIP HOP. This short animation created for Biography and the A&E Networks.

Narrated by Steve “The Commissioner” Stoute.

Blurb from the post

“Biggie was a monumental talent and Steve Stoute is a living legend. Being part of a project that helped one pay tribute to the other was such an honor. One of the lovely things about creating animation is that it can help visualize abstract ideas like emotion, memory and admiration. With this film we wanted to create something intimate that complimented the personal experiences Steve had with BIG’s music but something that expressed the experience the broader community had as they saw Biggie shift the culture around them. The energy between these ideas as Steve Stoute expresses them was a wonderful thing to respond to as we carefully designed and animated the film.”

Daily Dose “Project Ellis”

Another cool animation with a strong and positive message. Dress Code the studio who produced this info graphic seems to always realize on great design. I’m becoming a fan of their work.

Blurb about the Project Ellis project:

“If you or someone you love is affected by the new executive orders on immigration and needs help — whether it’s legal advice, money for travel/accommodations, whatever — please use Project Ellis (Entrepreneurs’ Liberty Link in Silicon Valley) to ask for assistance. You, your friends and your colleagues are not alone. Please spread the word.”

Daily Dose “CNN – What is a micro-plastic?”

One I thing respect and love about the motion and design industry is the ability to convey strong messaging.

Weather it’s environmental causes, the human condition or political responsibility. Great design and strong messaging are truly phenomenal when married. This piece convey that sense of a grand marriage. Artist Ignacio Osorio fluid motion keeping you engaged with well placed dialogue. An immersive experience and marriage on a grand scale. Good Job!

Daily Dose “Coke Habit” by Dress Code

The blurb from vimeo “The Summer after 10th grade Mike spent two solid weeks with horrible horrible migraines, dizziness, blind spots and tunnel vision—he didn’t know what it was… This is the story of his Coke Habit.”

One highlight of motion graphics is the ability to work independently of clients and deadline. This project was done in such fashion. Detailing the narrative of a personal addiction to caffeine something one in the design industry may know to well.

Visually “Dress Code” the company behind this animation achieves very stunning work. Mix of 2d elements, 3d compositing and great “digital ink” work.
