I read the blurb from the artist on Art Of the Title website and thought his story was pretty inspiring. This self taught animator from China deciding to take on a career in the motion industry. This sequence is well stage and has a fair bit of vfx work that feels quite real. The cat is a little off though. haha.
Could you give us a little background on yourself?
A section of the piece written up by Art Of The Title website. read more
There was also a behind the scene of the project posted as well. I love these things. Artist work in varies ways and see software tools in their own creative terms.
It’s Show Reel time in the industry of motion. All the studios start showing off their year of cool visual design. Igor + Valentine put together a strong effort.
“Igor + Valentine is the shared creative mind of Matt Smithson and David Stanfield. The name does not refer to any two distinct people, but hints at a creative split personality that Matt and David share, get lost in, and ultimately choose to embrace.”

Aspirational piece of the day for myself right here. The artist Eduard Mykhailov combined some fantastic visual components. Motion design effects like glitch can seem cumbersome at times. Once in a blue an artists find a way to redefine it’s purpose and make it seem really fucking cool. Thanks Mr. Mykhailov
Very inspiring piece for today’s Daily Dose. It got a vimeo staff pick award which is an achievement for video content nowadays.
I found the aesthetics refreshing, reminds me of the late 80’s when colors and line were going abstract.
Literally working on a series which focuses on a similar design director. What are the chances I find inspiration on a random day??? Adidas advertising in my opinion has been great the last 10 yrs. They always seem to go on to the edge and push visual interpretations.
Music videos is honestly how I got my start as a professional in the world of motion design.
Every once in a while something cool is produced. Direction, Animation, Script, Editing
